I'm impressed with TEN! I noticed your comment about Cleopatra. For some reason just reading about this book made me feel it was more academic than I'd want. Besides, I read Margaret George's MEMOIRS OF CLEOPATRA a few years ago and I'm not sure it can be topped!

CLEOPATRA is sitting on my shelf. I don't think I've actually read any reviews from it yet. It will be interesting to find out how it strikes me.
