I was going to post an image of some kind of chaos and mayhem that would celebrate the day that is known as Black Friday (click for the Wikipedia definition of this day), but happy bunnies seemed nicer.
So do you go out and join the crowds and dig into the sale bins and racks to get that perfect gift that is at it's lowest lowest price? Or do you do like Lady K and I did this morning and hit Lowes for power strips and some new additions to the Christmas village (girl walking four dogs, a bench, and four more carollers) and then a nice drive-thru at nearby Star$$ for Lady K's mocha frappe with caramel drizzle and my salute to the season, venti nonfat caramel brulee latte. I am usually a venti nonfat, no water chai...but I dare a foo-foo coffee this time of year. Then home to wait for DH to wake up. Off to breakfast soon afterward and maybe SuperTarget for the 32" TV they have the smokin' deal on.
We do plan on getting our tree today at our favorite nursery, Garden Country. We'll decorate it and the house and then enjoy leftovers from yesterday's delish turkey dinner.
However you spend the day, I hope it's diggin' fun!

I don't normally leave the house on Black Friday. Too many years having to work in retail! But, Mike is snowboarding and I'm a little miffed about being home alone all day. Am seriously considering Ninja Assassin and I'm not at all sure why.
Becky: I would go see a movie if DH hadn't been wound up about going to look at TVs (no joy..all sold out), so out we went for breakfast, the hordes at SuperTarget and Sears, then to get our tree. Home to set it up and then put our Christmas village up. Now it's chill time....
I don't do Black Friday. There is just too much chaos. I stayed home all day today and created, caught up and read. I also decorated for Christmas a little.
I occasionally participate in Black Friday. Usually I either have to work or I'm home in my pj's. This year I had a last minute change in plans and went to two stores. I was in line at 6:30 for Cost Plus World Market and then of to Bed, Bath and Beyond. Then the vet's office to pick up one furry beast prescription. I was back home, safe and sound, by 9:15 this morning.
Sherri: It is a little nuts, which is good for the stores, but not for me. I don't do crowds very well.
Jenna: Perfect timing on the errand running. There are a few shops I am willing to try, World Plus would be one of them. DH just wanted to see about that TV deal at SuperTarget and then Sears. I was glad to be out of the crowds, especially the crazy people who acted like they'd never been to Sears before.
