TGIF!!!

TGIF people!! My dad is coming for a visit from his home in Ottawa KS. He'll be here this afternoon. We will take him to a new-to-us, highly fab rated restaurant in Boulder, Lucile's Creole Kitchen for breakfast in the AM. Boulder Farmer's Market afterwards, then on to Garden Country Nursery for a reload of plants we love to dig in. Sunday is a trip to Golden for brunch and a meander down the streets for some shopping. Can't remember the name of the shop, but it is mostly gardening treasures and just too much fun.
Hope you have a good weekend, any plans?

Vickie, have a great time this weekend. We're heading to a family reunion (my Mom's Irish side of the family - well actually my Dad's side is Irish too but not nearly as big) in Iowa tomorrow. Should be fun.

Enjoy the visit with your Dad!

Mary & Vickie ~ Sounds like good times will be had by all! Have sun. Be safe.

I'll be doing a little of this and a little of that. Plenty of tasks to get me ready for the working world next week.

Mmmm. I'm getting hungry just thinking about it. They bake their biscuits in a sheet pan and cut them with a spatula! And I love the strawberry jelly. But my fave is the creole omelet with half grits and half potatoes, all covered in cheese! So bad for me but so good. And their shrimp and grits are to die for (they put saffron in the grits for the shrimp and grits). Can you tell the diet food is really not hitting the spot for me?

Becky: I had the rice pudding with raspberry jam drizzled on top and a biscuit on the side. My dad had the Creole omelet and he loved it! Can't remember what John had, but he tucked in and declared it wonderful. I had the hot spiced tea and Dad and John had theirs iced. We all loved it. Katherine liked the homemade ketchup on her eggs and bacon.
I am the same on weekends if we find a good place to eat...diet be darned...
