Lady K-ism of the Day

Lady K-ism of the day: Running into the house, hollering, "Where's Daddy's manly Band-Aids? Daniel's got himself a scrape and a Tinkerbell Band-Aid isn't gonna get it."

Lady K-ism of the Day

From this morning while Grandpa Jack and Lady K are playing "What am I thinking? The Animal Edition" a game that Lady K made up a few years ago:

Grandpa Jack: I am thinking of an animal that lives in Australia and starts with the letter 'W'.
Lady K: Oooooo, that's a good one.
Mommie: Wombat?
Grandpa Jack: Yep, your mommie got it.
Lady K: What the heck is a wombat?
Grandpa Jack: It's a mammal that only lives in Australia, the Aborigines eat it.
Lady K: I guess that's good for the Aborigines, but not so much for the wombats, hope they're fast.

Lady K-ism of the Day

Lady K and I are watching season 3 of Big Bang Theory and the episode where Raj might be deported...he bursts into tears, comes back from the bathroom, "Sorry I lost my cool back there."
Lady K: "Ah, dude, you can't lose what you've never had."

"Mommie, I think I have another idea for what I can be when I grow up. I want to be a psychic ice cream truck driver. See, I can sell ice cream to the kids and then tell their future..you know to make some extra change on the side because I don't think you make much money selling ice cream."

Lady K: "Mom, when I have babies, I'd like to have twins. I know it's a lot of work but not as much work as having trib-lets."
Me: "Three babies would be difficult to have at one time, that's for sure, unless you had help."
Lady K: "Ooooo! And how much extra help would you need for four babies. You know, four-blits!"

Lady K-ism of the Day

"I'm not nosey anymore, I'm just curious. Nosey is when you peek through the neighbor's fence and curious is just wanting to know what's going on. I haven't peeked through the neighbors' fence since forever, since I was 6 and more when I was 5. Now I'm just curious and ask questions."

Lady K-ism of the Day

Me: "C'mon, it's time to get up, sweetie!"
Lady K: "I don't wanna!"
Me: "On the bright side, it's Friday!"
Lady K: "What's so great about Friday?"
Me: "Well, it's the day before Saturday which is the weekend."
Lady K: "Yeah, well, today is still Friday!" and the covers went back over her head....

Lady K-ism of the Day

Lady K upon finding out her lunch menu from school stated that October is Spinach Month: "Well, that's just wrong!"

Lady K-ism of the Day

Lady K has been practicing like a fiend (if fiends do indeed practice) to be able to whistle. It's been driving her (and us a little) nuts....today was the day..in fact just now:

LadyK: MOMMIE! I think I can whistle!!! Listen, is this whistling? ...puckers up and produces a soft whistle.
Me: Yep, that's a whistle! (high five shared)
Lady K: This is a whistle...*whistle*...this *not whistle* is just blowing air and spit.

Lady K: What do you think of Barbie now? (after coming out of the bathroom with one of her many many Barbies)
Me: She looks fine, but naked.
Lady K: Well, she needs to be naked. She's going to be in a contest.
Me: A contest?
Lady K: Yep, a naked dancing Barbie contest for Ballerina Barbies only. Okay, gotta go get more naked Barbies and give them a bath and get them ready.

"I will probably get married someday, but I won't kiss my husband. I'll say no to kissing. If he wants a kiss, I'll just turn my head away, he can kiss my cheek."

Lady K-ism of the Day

Lady K on the phone with Grandpa Jack this afternoon: "My older cousin Josh is getting married! I think he's too young to get married, but he thinks he's old enough. And if Cousin Josh thinks he's old enough, then I'm all for it."

Lady K-ism of the Day

Lady K - "Mommie, I don't want to get agducted to anything bad for me."

Me - "Ummm, what's agducted mean?"

Lady K - "You know, like when people are agducted to cigarettes or beer and can't think about anything but having another cigarette or beer, agducted!"

Lady K-ism of the Day

Out of the blue...as many of Lady K-isms begin.....
Lady K - "Mommie, how old is Daddy?"
Me - "Ummmmm...50, why?"
Lady K - "Because I think I am going to be 50 before I start saying sonofabitch."
Me, trying to keep a straight face - "Okay, why 50?"
Lady K - "Because sonofabitch is one of those words you should be 50 to say, so I am going to wait until I am 50 to say sonofabitch. Don't you think I should wait until then to say sonofabitch?"
Me, still working on that straight face - "Well, you know you're saying it an awful lot right now."
Lady K - "Yeah, so I'll stop saying sonofabitch now. Well, one more...sonofabitch. Okay, that's it. That's the last time until I am 50."

"Johnny Bravo isn't stupid! He's just silly! I'd kiss him all the way on a trip to the North Pole and I don't even want to kiss boys!"

~Lady K in survival of the fittest mode, when we went home last night to find the power out on our block...

Lady K-ism of the Day

"Shhhhhh....I am a secret agent...you must do as I tell you.....you must not eat those grapes..they are poison. And DO NOT have dinner with your husband. He is a...vampire! You see those holes in your ears? He made those while you were sleeping. He will use your blood for dinner and your bones for his bedtime snack!
I am Agent Kate and this (a teddy bear in a dress and crown) is Agent Sarah! We will protect you, if you do as we say...We are off to see your husband now. Stay here."
This is going on while I try to watch an episode of Moonlight, which claims to be a vampire show.....
